Hi there, I’m Sofia
I work as a project manager. I’m a parent. An expat residing in Madrid, Spain.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Spain wasn't planned for the long term. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and higher expectations. Everyday tasks felt tougher than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and learning on the fly. But gradually, routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built QivVimaLunoFen
Most online guidance fell into either corporate relocation tips or glossy tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to close that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Spain.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Practical insights from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A platform for paid reviews
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Spain goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, don't hesitate to contact us.
Cheers,
Sofia
